A lot of football pitches are now turfed with suitable sports turf instead of having grass grown on them with grass seed. This can make it much easier for the sports pitch maintenance workers as they don't have to grow the grass from scratch, all they need to do is look after the layed sports turf, and the rest will take care of itself.
